The product
Is Curiosity Tree available now?+
Not yet. The platform is in active planning and prototyping. Early access is the best way to hear about development milestones and future family pilots.
Is this an online school?+
No. Curiosity Tree is planned as curriculum and an adaptive learning platform. It is not currently an accredited school and does not award diplomas, college credit, degrees, seminary credentials, or licenses.
What ages and levels will it serve?+
The framework spans K–12, electives, undergraduate-depth learning, and Biblical Studies through seminary-level work. Initial pilots will be intentionally narrower before the catalog expands.
Learning and adaptation
Does AI choose the curriculum?+
No. Curriculum order, prerequisites, mastery thresholds, grading policy, and safety rules are explicit and reviewable. AI may help explain or interpret bounded interactions; domain rules make progression decisions.
Will one wrong answer send a learner backward?+
No. One miss receives useful feedback. A Root Path begins only after a short diagnostic confirms a likely prerequisite gap under declared evidence rules.
What makes a leaf golden?+
A golden leaf represents demonstrated learning under the Knowledge Tree's declared evidence policy. A single answer cannot create mastery; later retrieval or transfer is required for the strongest state.
How are grades different from practice attempts?+
Practice is formative and should not become a permanent penalty. Attempts, assistance, mastery, projects, assessments, completion, retention, and attendance remain separate.
Families and privacy
How do family profiles work?+
One parent owns the account and authenticates first. The household can then include the owner's learner profile, one additional adult learner, and up to five minor learner profiles, each protected by a parent-set PIN.
Do children need email addresses?+
No. Minor profiles and the additional adult learner do not require an email or independent account credential at launch.
How will learner data be used?+
The plan begins with data minimization, no behavioral advertising, no sale of learner data, parent access and deletion controls, and child-facing AI limited to approved lesson context.
Learn Anything
Can children use Learn Anything?+
No. Personal Knowledge Trees are planned only for age-confirmed adult profiles. Children learn within assigned, reviewed curriculum.
Are Personal Knowledge Trees accredited or public courses?+
No. They are labeled personal, AI-assisted, source-grounded as of a stated date, and non-credit-bearing unless separately reviewed. They do not become public catalog courses automatically.
